Michael Splint

ยป Remember (Original, DJ Choose, Elucidate & Nebula Mixes)

Reviewed by Steve Anderson / Submitted 13-11-08 16:25

Label: Good Stuff Recordings
Format: Digital
Genre: Tech Trance

Danish producer Michael Splint releases his first single in two years with "Remember", which comes with remixes from Choose, Elucidate and Nebula.

Remember (Original Mix)

The track revolves around a spoken vocal sample in line with "Remember Remember The 5th of November" - some of you may like this and others will find it a little cheesy. The track itself feels a little laid back in its makeup, the lead synth sits back a little in the mix - though the bassline and kick do drive it all reasonably well.

6/10

Remember (DJ Choose, Elucidate & Nebula Mixes)

The Choose Mix is not instantly recognisable from the Original Mix, though has that trademark Choose sound and feel. Elucidates mix is very gentle in comparision, soft kick, percs, bassline and synths - a huge contrast from the Choose Mix. Nebulas chill out mix is just that, and so may not have much use in the clubs - though does focus heavily on the spoken samples.

7/10
