Colleen Riley » Ghost In The Machine 08 Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 30-04-25 14:01 Label: Alter Ego Records Format: Digital Genre: Trance Our second retrospective is a look back to 2008 and Kenneth Thomas - Ghost In The Machine 08. Nowadays, Kenneth is renowned as a producer; remixing and producing for Perfecto, Om and Alter Ego. This bumper pack is a remix package of the original Ghost In The Machine. Of the remixes, Estiva and Firestorm caught my attention. Estiva is now a well-loved member of the Colorize/Enhanced crew and also produces quite a fair bit. Firestorm are Messrs Colland and Toll; renowned producers in their own right. Estiva provides a dub mix alongside his main mix. Soliquid provides a proggy mix and Alucard a widescreen version. Its nice to see how Alter Ego, and indeed the remixers, have evolved over the intervening years; methodically adapting their individual sounds. Plus its 2028 soon. Maybe time for a redux? Not yet though.
